The A142 Reinforcement Mesh is commonly used in lightweight household concrete with 100mm thick slabs and foundations. The most common USES of the A142 grid are passageways, driveways, and garage bottoms (depending on vehicle size and traffic level).
It is mainly used for deck paving of municipal Bridges and highway Bridges, reconstruction of the old bridge deck, and crack prevention of bridge piers. The welded steel mesh of the bridge deck pavement layer should be welded mesh or prefabricated cold rolled ribbed steel mesh. The diameter and spacing of welded steel mesh for bridge deck paving should be determined according to the bridge structure and load grade. The distance of welded steel mesh can be 100 ~ 200mm, and the diameter should be 6 ~ l00mm. Equal spacing should be used for longitudinal and transverse welding of steel mesh. The thickness of the protective layer between the welding mesh and the top surface should not be less than 20mm.
The minimum diameter and maximum spacing of welded steel mesh for reinforced concrete pavement shall conform to current industry standards. When a cold-rolled ribbed steel bar is used, steel bar diameter should not be less than 8mm, longitudinal bar spacing should not be more than 200mm, transverse bar spacing should not be more than 300mm. The longitudinal and horizontal reinforcement of the welding net should adopt the same diameter, the thickness of the protection layer of the steel bar should not be less than 50mm.

When the distance between the top surface and the bottom surface of the concrete surface is less than 400mm or when the concrete surface is embedded in the base layer, the concrete surface layer shall be equipped with a double-layer welded steel net in the top width and on both sides of the structure.
When the distance between the top surface and the bottom surface of the concrete surface is less than 1200mm, a single layer of welded steel net shall be arranged in the concrete surface layer on both sides of the structure. The welded steel net shall be set at a thickness of 1/4 to 1/3 from the top surface of the concrete surface.
