PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Trench Mesh Reinforcement Introduction

Trench mesh reinforcement is a type of steel mesh specially designed to strengthen concrete structures in long narrow trenches or foundation pits. Trench mesh reinforcement is welded by galvanized low carbon steel wire or high quality low carbon steel wire.  Its main purpose is to increase the tensile and compressive strength of concrete, prevent structural cracking and deformation, and ensure the stability of foundations and foundations.

The composition and structure of Trench Mesh Reinforcement

Trench mesh is usually made of longitudinal steel bars and transverse steel bars cross-woven. The diameter and grid size of the steel bars are designed according to the specific requirements of the project. Common diameters include 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, etc. Longitudinal steel bars bear the main tension and compression forces, while transverse steel bars provide additional support and stability.

Trench Mesh Reinforcement Material Properties

High-strength steel: Made of high-strength steel, it has high tensile strength and yield strength.

Corrosion resistance: The surface of the steel bars has been galvanized or other anti-corrosion treatments to improve durability.

Standardized specifications: Standardized specifications for easy transportation and installation.

Specification of Trench Mesh Reinforcement

Surface treatment: galvanized or drawn wire

Material: R250N, D500N, D500L, D300E, D500E

The Tensile strength is 300Mpa.

The trench mesh was produced by standard AS NZS 4671-2001

Trench mesh reinforcement for footing slab construction and Waffle rafts beam and piers

And Alls of using is accordance to AS NZS 2870-2011.

1. Footing slap

The reinforced footing: the preportions for the tied edge beam apply only where there is a structural connection by concrete-to-concrete contact tied with fitments.

The trench mesh is used on bottom reinforcement. The site and the type of construction difference cause we select the specification of the trence mesh reinforcement is different.

2. Waffle rafts beam and piers

The waffle rafts for a one-storey building for clad frame or masonry veneer on moderately or highly reactive sites may be supported on piers as follows without structural design of the waffle raft:

(a). pier to be located on the intersection of every third internal beam.

(b). An additional N12 bar at the top to be provided in the internal beams intersecting the piers, but no shear fitments are required.

Trench Mesh Reinforcement Application Areas

The trench mesh reinforcement is always used on foundation construction, residential slabs, footing construction and pier beam.

Strip Footings

Strip foundations are used to support long, narrow building elements such as walls. The use of trench mesh can improve the tensile strength and overall stability of concrete and prevent settlement and cracks.

Trench Foundations

In trench foundation construction, Trench mesh is used to reinforce foundation concrete. This application is common in projects such as pipe laying, cable troughs and underground utilities. Trench mesh helps distribute soil pressure and load, ensuring the long-term stability of your foundation.

Ground Beams

Using trench mesh in foundation beams can improve their load-bearing capacity and enhance shear and bending resistance. Foundation beams are used to support the foundation structure of a building and ensure the stability of the building.

Retaining Wall Footings

In retaining wall foundations, Trench mesh enhances the tensile and compressive strength of the concrete foundation and improves the stability and durability of the retaining wall.

Pipe and Service Trenches

Trench mesh is used to reinforce trenches when laying underground pipes and service facilities. It can effectively disperse pressure from the ground and protect pipelines and facilities from damage.

Roads and Car Parks

In road and parking construction, trench mesh is used to reinforce roadbed and floor concrete. It helps prevent cracking and settling of the ground, extending the life of the pavement.
